Babies & toddlers alike can get to grips with the bright and exciting gym environment. With lots of soft play and apparatus to explore, children and grown ups can play at various set-ups throughout their session. We are sorry but school aged children are not permitted at any time.

Fun Club (5 - 12yrs)

Fun Clubs are the perfect combination of fun, games, and of course, gymnastics! For children aged 5 yrs+ No previous experience required. Gymnasts should bring a small snack and a packed lunch - please note - items containing kiwi and nuts must NOT be sent to gym due to children in attendance with severe allergies. LXGC is a kiwi and nut free zone!

LX Goes Quiet (0 - 9yrs)

LX Community Gymnastics Centre C.I.C Hall 2

LX Goes Quiet is a non-structured play session specifically for children with additional needs. During these sessions, children will be able to make use of our apparatus and soft play to help grow and develop in a fun, safe and stimulating environment. Grown-ups will play an active role in the sessions, with our coaches supervising and on hand to offer advice when needed. LX Goes Quiet sessions are adapted to ensure your little one feels safe and secure to explore in a way that is comfortable for them. In addition to helping develop strength, co-ordination, balance and fine/gross motor skills, these sessions are perfect for learning and developing social skills, confidence and communication skills. LX Goes Quiet sessions are suitable for children aged 4yrs to 10 yrs old. The health and safety of our members are of paramount importance, so please ensure that all rules and guidelines are followed at all times. Our coaches will be on hand to help ensure everyone’s safety, and offer advice and guidance when required.

Workshop - Handstand and Cartwheel (5 - 12yrs)

This workshop will focus on developing the handstand and cartwheel - 2 fundamental skills for gymnastics. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations of each skill. Skills covered Cartwheel Handstand Handstand Forward Roll Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to *support their own body weight on their hands *complete a slow, static bunny hop *be comfortable being upside down

This 1.5 hour workshop will focus on developing more advanced skills that will be required, working towards tumbling skills. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations of each skill. Skills covered *Bridge Kickover *Tic Tok *Front Walkover *Back Walkover *Dive Forward Roll *Round-off Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to *Cartwheel *Handstand *Bridge

This 1.5 hour workshop will focus on developing the basics for bars. Gymnasts will focus on building sound technique, as well as exploring variations of each skill. Skills covered: - Upward and Back Hip circle - Swinging technique - Squat on - Transitions to high bar - Handstand flat back - Handspring - Half on Pre-Requisites In order to attend this workshop, gymnasts must be able to *support their own body weight on their hands *solid basic shapes (front/back support, dish, arch) *be comfortable being upside down *ability to hang unsupported *good springboard technique *squat on vault
